This course is designed to provide students with the basic ideas and skills required for moral reasoning and for the application of ethical ideas to the cases that arise in daily practical and professional life. Examples discussed may be drawn from such areas of applied ethics as business ethics, environmental ethics, and medical ethics. Students will learn about how to approach complex ethical issues from different perspectives, and how to think critically about them. Students will also be encouraged to develop and defend their own views about such complex cases.
