Media Psychology is a subcategory of Psychology which investigates the influence of media on human behaviours. Media’s effect on individuals starts from childhood and continues through adolescence and adulthood. Today’s research demonstrates that media has both negative and positive impacts on human development and this process can be explained via different theories. Therefore, the aim of this module is to explain the strong impact of media on an individual’s life and allow students to analyse these impacts within different perspectives.
