This course covers emerging online technologies and trends and their influence on the electronic commerce marketplace. You will learn various revenue models and how to market on the Web. Furthermore, this course covers online auctions and various legal and ethical issues. You will also learn about important security issues, such as spam and phishing, their role in organized crime and terrorism, identity theft, and online payment fraud. Finally, you will learn how to plan for electronic commerce.

This course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the environment in which business activity takes place such as the way in which changes in that environment influence business behavior, the major groups and organizations within and outside business, the role and purposes of business activity in both the private and the public sector, the ways the main types of business and commercial activities are organized, financed and operated, how business relations with other organizations, consumers, employees, owners and society are regulated.

This course is the second database course in the curriculum. Information Management Concepts such as data quality, accuracy, timeliness, backup/recover, business rules, reengineering, data integration and data organization architecture, replication, data are introduced. Details of the conceptual and logical database design procedure for an enterprise level database, advanced concepts in database design and implementation from the programming perspective are studied in detail in the lectures. Common problems and their solutions, security and access considerations in database design are covered. Tasks related to managing the database environment are also discussed. Object Based and XML databases and related query languages are introduced. The labs cover efficient use of SQL for complicated tasks and teach a 3GL database language. The main topics of the laboratory applications are: use of triggers, stored procedures and functions for efficient and more secure implementations of database applications.

This course aims to encourage students to improve their team-working skills in web-based projects. The course focuses on designing, developing and presenting real-life web projects. Students who take this course will use one or more web development tools in order to design and develop websites. They will also learn how to deal with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, web templates, web forms, JQuery, CMS, and Flash-based contents.

This course focuses on the development of Internet applications.  Designing websites/pages and developing database Internet applications will be covered throughout the semester. In order to eliminate tedious coding and to develop all these applications, ASP.NET with C# as the programming language will be used.

As relational database management services which will be introduced during the semester is addressed as MS SQL Server. The ASP.NET Web Site Administration Tool will also be covered as part of websites with authentication, access rights and websites ready for e-commerce among the semester.

This course focuses on the use of the most popular forensics tools and provides specific guidance on dealing with civil and criminal matters relating to the law and technology. Includes discussions on how to manage a digital forensics operation in today’s business environment.

Siber suçların soruşturmasında gerekli temel bilgi ve becerileri kapsayan veri toplama, tanımlama ve anlama, değerlendirme ve sunum gibi bilgilere yer veriliyor. Derste ayrıca bilişim suçlarının sınıflandırması, ilgili mevzuat , alınabilecek donanım ve yazılım tedbirleri, erişim kontrol sistemleri, veri kurtarma, suç ve olay senaryolarının işlenmesi sunulmaktadır.
